The Independence Day weekend is almost here and we can’t wait for the barbecues, fireworks, and a relaxing time with family & friends.

The weekend can’t get any better.

Or can it?

4th of July is one of the biggest promotional periods of the year – and that means there’s a ton of opportunity to make money and grow your business.

We took the time to collect some of our favorite 4th of July ads that are bold, spirited, and unapologetically American.

Take inspiration from these 10 ads and get ready for your best 4th of July ever:

1. Purina

Your horses deserve a happy July too!

Truly star-spangled, this ad cannot be missed with the reds, whites & blues that instill pride and a killer offer for the entire month.

2. Jack Daniel’s

Nothing like a good whiskey on the 4th of July night.

The old-school, Western typography takes you back to the days of Saloons. A quick reminder from Jack Daniel’s that they are truly Made in America and just right to celebrate with.

3. Barilla

We can see that Barilla’s design team had fun with this one.

Don’t forget about making lunch & dinner on the weekend. Barilla’s got some delicious pasta ready for you to devour!

4. J Crew

July is hot. Summer’s in full throttle, and you can’t have enough ice cream to beat the heat.

J Crew uses clever imagery & great copy with ice cream to catch your attention, and the “Red, White, and Cool” line on top. They’re here with a limited-time sale of their summer collection, just for you.

Love this one.

5. Skinless Frankfurters

Hot dogs are a staple on the 4th of July and this ad keeps up the tradition – but there’s more!

Look closely and you’ll find hot dogs shaped like fireworks, canons, and a woman wearing a president's flag hat. All a part of the long weekend celebration.

Spot something we missed? Leave a comment!

6. Coca-Cola

A clever ad by Coca-Cola from 1978.

They mention 11 ways, out of which 10 ways are scrumptious-looking hot dogs, a tradition of the Independence Day weekend.

But the last one?

A Coke, of course! And the slogan “Coke adds life”, certainly adds life to this ad.

7. Havenly

Another clever use of ice cream imagery, and reds, whites & blues to show off all the amazing offers Havenly has in store.

They’ve also set up three different codes for the three offers they have – we don’t see this often from brands so that’s definitely worth noting and even trying in your offers!

8. Acme Beer

From the archives of ACME Breweries, this ad caught our eye immediately – especially the tagline.

“It’s tops” is a great play on the illustrated top hat, and to say that they’re the best beer in town. And if you haven’t grabbed your beer on a 4th of July weekend, what are you really waiting for?

9. United Airlines

We love this ad because of its eye-catching photo edit. The air stream of the airplane in blue and overlaying the flag on top grabs your attention right away.

A reminder from United Airlines that if you plan a trip around that weekend, United Airlines has got your back with their flight tickets.

10. Pepsi

Granted that Pepsi has had some controversial ads (to say the least), this one keeps it simple.

Since its brand colors are so similar to the red, white, and blue of the American flag, this keeps it minimal, and rightly so. Along with the stars around the Pepsi logo, with the smart use of the word Freedom, this is an instant reminder to stock up on Pepsi for the weekend party.

There are so many more fantastic 4th of July Ads around, so if you find a cool ad, send it our way (@getsocioh)!

Wishing you the happiest and most profitable 4th of July weekend yet!
